Virtual Steering Controller (VSteer)

1. Introduction
Virtual Steering Controller is designed to function as a local controller system that allows a mobile device to be used as an input controller for PC games. We respect your privacy. While the core control functionality operates entirely locally, we use third-party advertising services to support the free version of the app.
2. Information We Collect
Virtual Steering Controller does not require user accounts, and we do not operate any proprietary backend servers. However, certain information is collected depending on how you use the app.
On-device data (stored locally only):
- App preferences (steering sensitivity, haptic feedback settings, UI layouts)
- Custom button names and configurations
- In-app virtual fuel economy data
This information remains on your device and is not transmitted to our external servers.
Controller input data:
During gameplay, steering, pedal, and button input data is transmitted locally between your phone and your PC over your local network. This data is used only to provide real-time control functionality. It is not stored, logged, analyzed, or shared.
Automatically Collected Information (Advertising):
To provide the free, ad-supported tier of our application, we integrate third-party advertising SDKs. These third parties may automatically collect information from your device, including:
- Device identifiers (such as Apple IDFA or Android Advertising ID)
- IP address and general location data (derived from IP)
- Device type, operating system, and network connection type
- App usage data related to ad performance (e.g., ads viewed or clicked)
3. Device Motion / Sensors
If you enable tilt-based steering, the app accesses your device’s motion sensors (accelerometer or gyroscope) to calculate steering input. Motion data is processed on-device and used only for generating controller input.
Sensor data is not used for tracking, analytics, or advertising.
4. Network Communication
The core controller application communicates only over your local network (LAN) to connect your mobile device to your PC receiver. No gameplay data is transmitted to external servers operated by us.
External network communication only occurs to serve in-app advertisements and to process premium unlock purchases via official app store billing systems.
5. Advertising and Third-Party Services
We use Unity LevelPlay as our primary advertising mediation platform to serve rewarded video advertisements. Through LevelPlay, advertisements may be provided by third-party advertising networks, including Unity Ads, Google AdMob, and ironSource.
These advertising providers may automatically collect and process certain device information to deliver advertisements, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and, where permitted, personalize advertising. The information collected and the way it is processed are governed by the respective privacy policies of these providers.

In-App Purchases: If you choose to upgrade to the Premium version, purchases are processed securely through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect, process, or store your payment card or other payment information.
6. Managing Your Privacy and Opting Out
You have the right to control how your device is tracked for advertising purposes:
- iOS Users: Upon first launching the app, you will be prompted by the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. You can allow or deny tracking. You can change this at any time in your iOS Settings > Privacy > Tracking.
- Android Users: You can opt out of personalized ads by navigating to your Android device Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization (or "Delete advertising ID").
- Premium Upgrade: Users who purchase the Premium version of the app are no longer served advertisements, and the advertising SDK will not be initialized to request ads.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Virtual Steering Controller does not operate user accounts or proprietary backend servers, and we do not store personal information on our own servers.
App preferences, custom control layouts, calibration data, and other user-generated configurations are stored locally on your device only.
- Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored app data from your device.
- You may also clear the app's local data at any time using your device's application settings.
Certain information used for advertising may be collected and retained by our third-party advertising providers in accordance with their own privacy policies. Because we do not receive, store, or control this information, we are unable to access or delete it on your behalf.
If you wish to request deletion of data processed by these third-party providers, please refer to the privacy policies listed in Section 5 (Advertising and Third-Party Services), where you can find information about exercising your privacy rights, including data access and deletion requests where applicable.

8. Children's Privacy
Virtual Steering Controller is a general audience utility application and is not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because we do not operate backend servers or maintain user accounts, we cannot remotely access, identify, or delete specific user data. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child is using this application, you can remove all local configurations and stop any third-party ad network data collection simply by uninstalling the application from the device.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy in the future. When updates occur, the “Last updated” date will be revised.
